Overview
Our client, who asked to remain confidential, owns a luxury jewellery Shopify store, based in the USA. Their brand sells unique handmade pieces. The owners reached out to us to increase sales and traffic.
Challenges
- There was stiff competition: from other luxury jewellery brands, who had higher budgets and more recognition.
- The site had a relatively low DR, which simply wasn’t going to cut it in comparison to some of their top competitors.
Strategy
Our initial audit for this client revealed that they had a significant number of keywords ranking on pages two and three of the search results. So we targeted these pages first.
As the majority of the site's traffic comes through individual product pages and categories, our next strategy was to build branded links to the homepage. We acquired links using a number of techniques including: targeting links from niche relevant sites, from broader category sites and from high authority sites using HARO.
Results
Within several months, the site saw significant growth up from 21,749 organic search users in October 2020 to 39,753 in March 2021. The good news is a significant proportion of traffic is from high buyer intent keywords. Overall results so far show a 82.78% growth in web traffic, and 16% more conversions, resulting in an extra $186K revenue.
